Advances in technology have made energy-efficient, high quality bulbs available at affordable prices – and within the standards established in the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007 (commonly referred to as the Bulb Act). Well, 70,000 years ago, you would have lit your hut with a hollowed out stone filled with moss and animal fat. Let’s be grateful our choices have expanded to using an incandescent, LED or compact fluorescent light bulb, with light at the flick of a switch.
