New products often bring new questions and concerns, including compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs.  Some have been known to make a popping sound and smoke when failing. Should a user be concerned?  Not according to an article posted by the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinal. The article  No Dark, Burning Secrets to CFLs.
