A recent survey  by an energy-efficient lighting products manufacturer shows 2011 could be a good year for lighting retrofits.  In December 2010, Precision-Paragon P2 surveyed more than 1,900 energy-efficient-lighting professionals about the state of the lighting industry. Here are some of the results:

  • Over 70% of the respondents predicted the energy-efficient lighting industry will grow in 2011.
  • 98% are planning to either hold steady, or build for growth in 20011.
  • The majority  expect the largest source for funding will be rebate programs and internally approved captial expenditure funds.
  • Linear fluorescent lighting will continue to be the dominant energy efficient lighting technology in 2011.

With that in mind, it seems like the industry is poised for growth in 2011. What do you think? Read the entire survey here. And don’t forget to view the press release here.
