For most of us, light is available at the mere flip of a switch. We don’t stop to think of the myriad of ways in which that light is provided. Take a moment to think about the many options – compact fluorescent light bulbs, standard incandescent lamps, LEDs, cold cathode lighting, linear fluorescent, HID and more. Add to that energy cost, environmental concerns, light colors, CRI, lumen output, mercury, recycling and you realize what seems so simple really isn’t.
